MAC "Embrace Me" lip liner and MAC 'Be Silly" lipstick

Yra toks posakis "Vieną kartą pabandęs negali sustoti". Tai jį aš drąsiai pritaikyčiau sau ir meilei MAC kosmetikai. Pradedant jų kolekcijomis ir pristatymais, tęsiant pakuotėmis ir baigiant pačia grietinėle - produktais, jų kokybe ir galutiniu vaizdu. Ir nors tikrai yra buvę situacijų, kuomet MAC produkcija mane nuvylė, tačiau taip greitai pagalvojus ir prisiminus visus jų turimus produktus suvokiu, kad kokie 90% atveju MAC mane paperka :)

There is a saying "Once you go MAC - you never go back". I truly agree with this one as my love seems like a never ending affair with MAC stuff. Starting with their promos for the new collections, continuing with the packagings and finishing off with an amazing quality of the products themselves. And even though there were definitely couple of occasions where I was let down by a MAC products, thinking about the products that I own now almost 90% of the stuff is absolutely amazeballs!

MAC "Embrace Me" lūpų pieštukas mano kolekcijoje atsidūrė vieną karštą vasaros dieną, kai pas mus svečiavesi mano tėvai gamino sau pusryčius ir rytinę kavą, o aš gavau e-laišką, jog Brown Thomas internetinėje parduotuvėje paskelbtas MAC kelių limituotų kolekcijų išpardavimas. Žinote tą jausmą, kai užverda kraujas ir, kai, rodos, niekas aplink neberūpi? Taip nutiko ir man :) Taip mano krepšely atsidūrė ne vienas MAC produktas, o šis "Embrace Me" pieštukas lūpoms buvo vienas jų.

MAC "Embrace Me" lip liner came to my collection quite accidentally - one hot summer day my parents were visiting us abroad, they were making the breakfast and the coffee and suddenly I've received an e-mail saying that Brown Thomas currently have a sale for some LE of MAC products. Do you know that feeling when all starts to float around and you simply don't care anymore of what's happening? That was exactly what happened to me. Went straight into BT's online shop, got a virtual bag full of stuff and that's how "Embrace Me" found a way to my home.

  

Ryškiai rožinės spalvos pieštukas lūpoms manęs tikrai nenuvylė savo kokybe. Ant lūpų spalva - beveik tokia pat ryški, kaip ir atrodo pakuotėje, ji turi mėlyno atspalvio pigmentą, kuris optiškai balina dantis. Juo gana lengva apvesti lūpų kontūrą (nors ši dalis priklauso nuo drožtuko ir nuo to, kaip stipriai nusmailinsite pieštuko galą), pieštukas nesausina, netempia, nedirgina lūpų. Nepastebėjau jokio erzinančio kvapo ar kitokio nemalonaus efekto. Lūpoms suteikia matinį atspalvį ir ant jų laikosi tikrai ilgai bei padeda lūpų dažams ant lūpų išlikti ilgiau.

Vienintelis minusas - dėl savo matinės formulės pieštukas tikrai paryškins lūpų išsausėjimus, todėl itin rekomenduoju prieš renkantis šios spalvos produktą lūpas palepinti gerai drėkinančiu ir maitinančiu balzamu.

This lip liner was definitely a nice discover for me. Described as vivid pink fuschia shade is almost as bright on the lips as it is in the packaging. It also has blue undertones which visually makes your teeth whiter (yay! :) ). It is very easy to use on the contour of the lips (although it really depends on the sharpener and the skills of the one using the sharperner), it doesn't dry out or irritate my lips (haven't used on it's own yet, though). I haven't noticed any irritating scent of the product or any other annoying effect. And the lip liner gives a matte finish for the lips which I absolutely love! It stays in place for forever (or for as long as I want it to be there, but let's say at least half a day for sure together with a lippie) and helps lipstick stay longer in place.

There is only one negative side that I've noticed so far - due to it's matte finish the product definitely accentuates dry patches of the lips, so before you decide to put this on - make sure to moisture your lips with some balm.

MAC "Be Silly" lūpdažis - limituotos "Flamingo Park" 2016m. pavasario kolekcijos dalis. Jau vien kolekcijos pavadinimas tarsi kalba pats už save - išleistos ryškios, žaismingos, jaunatviškos, kupinos rausvų tonų spalvos šių metų pavasarį liūdėtų neleido niekam :) Standartinė MAC lūpdažio pakuotė savyje slepia ne ką kitą, o limituoto leidimo karštos magentos spalvos lūpų dažą.

MAC "Be Silly" lipstick is a part of limited "Flamingo Park" collection by MAC for Spring 2016. The name of the collection speaks for itself really - batch of scrumptious pinks and corals gives you a nice summery change from bold dark lippies. Youthful, bold, bright, full of energy and pinks - you most definitely won't be able to be upset when wearing one of the collection gems. And the standard packaging of the LE lipstick is hiding this amazing hot fuschia pink shade.

"Be Silly" tituluojamas kaip vienas iš matinę formulę turinčių kolekcijos lūpdažių. Mano pastebėjimu pradžioje vos pasidažius lūpas šiuo produktu, jos tikrai neatrodo matinės iškart - lūpdažis tarsi padengia lūpas matine formule, sumaišyta kartu su satinio žvilgesiu. Vėliau jis lyg susigeria į lūpas jas padrėkindamas ir palieka ant jų matinį ryškiai rožinį galutinį vaizdą. Spalva puiki ne tik dėl savo ryškumo (taip tinka skirtingiems odos atspalviams), bet ir dėl mėlyno pigmento turinčių pustonių savo sudėtyje, taip vizualiai balinančių dantis. Produkto tekstūra apibūdinčiau kaip beveik kreminę, tačiau matiškas sausumas ir sodrumas joje tikrai išryškėja. Pigmentacija itin ryški, spalva matoma iškart vos užtepus, nereikia kelių sluoksnių jai išgauti. Ant lūpų laikosi tol, kol nuvalau (arba šiek tiek nuvalgau :) ) - apie pusę dienos drąsiai! Kaip ir dauguma MAC lūpdažių, šis produktas turi lengvą salsvoką kvapą, tačiau skonio neturi jokio. Neerzina lūpų odos, jos netraukia, nesausina. 

"Be Silly" is one of the matte shades from the LE Collection. However, I would say that my lips don't look matte straight after application of this product - it somehow just covers the lips in its matte finish mixed together with some kind of the sheen. Later on the sheen just sinks in to the lips by moisturizing them a bit and that is where the matte shade pops out. The color of the lipstick is great not only because it is really bold medium dark pink shade, but also because it has some cool undertones, normally made out of blue pigments, which visually whitens your teeth and also suits almost all skin colors. The texture of the product could be called somehow creamy matte. It stays on the lips for a really long time (at least half a day plain). And as almost all of the MAC lipsticks, this one has a nice sweet scent but no taste. It doesn't irritate or dry out my lips which I'm really happy about :)

Reziume - noriu pasakyti, kad jei turite galimybę ir norite savo saulėtų dienų ryškių priemonių lūpoms kolekciją papildyti dar keliais ryškiais produktais lūpoms, tuomet tikrai žiūrite ne tik į tinkamą tam kompaniją, bet ir į tinkamas tam spalvas :) Ir nors kalendoriuje šiuo metu jau rugsėjo pabaiga, į langą drąsiai beldžiasi spalis, mano lūpas saulėtomis dienomis dar tikrai papuoš "Embrace Me" ir "Be Silly" duetas vien jau tam, kad praskaidrintų rudenišką nuotaiką ir puikiai išryškintų mano atostogų metų saulėje nurudintą odą!

So to finish it all up, I can just say that yes - if you still have a chance and if you want to put in some new gems to your bright and bold lippies collection, you are definitely looking not only at the right brand, but at a few right shades for the best lip products duo - lip liner and lipstick. And even though the calendar says that it is the end of September already and autumnal October is bravely knocking to the back door, I know that the combo of "Embrace Me" and "Be Silly" will definitely land on my lips more times this year to just give me that nice summery feeling in the heart and also to pop out bravely on my tanned skin after the summery holidays!
