Pupa Velvet Garden LE lipstick "312 Burgundy Poppy"

Rudus lauką nudažiusius rudeniškus atspalvius dažnai norisi padabinti kokiu nors ypatingai išskirtiniu akcentu. Ar tai bus neįprastai ugninės raudonos spalvos vilnonis puspaltis, ar tai bus žavingai koketiška žalia skrybėlė, ar išskirtinai rėksmingai atrodantis gana išraiškingas lūpdažis – bet kas, išsiskiriantis iš rudų tonų, tikrai atkreips praeivių dėmesį į žmogų, nusprendusį pasirinkti kažką kitokio.

Mano kasdienybėje, kaip ir tinklaraštyje, atsiliepimai apie dekoratyvinę kosmetiką, o ypatingai lūpdažius, tapo tarsi kokia tendencija. O juk prisimenu tuos laikus, kai apie padažytas lūpas net pagalvot negalėjau, kur jau ten galėjau įsivaizduoti tokią turimų priemonių lūpoms kolekciją savo kosmetinėje... Tačiau ne veltui sakoma, jog žmonės, kaip ir jų pomėgiai bei nuomonė, keičiasi. Šįmet, kaip niekad, negaliu savęs įsivaizduoti nepadažytomis lūpomis. Ir beveik kasdien iš namų išeinu lūpas patepusi vienu ar kitu produktu – ar tai būtų itin ryškus rožinio atspalvio tonas, ar sodrus, bet ramus nude spalvos dažas.

For some reason in the autumn I always want to shake things up a bit and brighten the day, colored in autumnal brown shades, with something different. Let it be bright red coat, let it be lovely green hat or even really bold lippie – doesn’t matter as long as it’s a bit different from surrounding colors and makes others have a nosy at you and say “Oh wow, that looks great!”

Testing out and reviewing new makeup products, especially lipsticks, became some kind of a tendency in my daily life and blog. And no – I didn’t forgot those times where I couldn’t imagine myself with a lipstick on and I’m not even talking about the amount of the products for lips that I currently have in my makeup bag. However, as you all know – people change and so their opinions and habits and I am no different here. This year I cannot imagine myself without something on my lips. Almost every day before leaving the home I put some lippie on – either fuschia pink or soft nude shade. Or even lip balm. But there should always be something on my lips, otherwise I feel kind of naked :)

PUPA is one of my favourite brands for the lip products. From the shades to the textures, from the design of the packaging to the ad campaigns. This time is no exception as I want to share my opinion about a lippie from their LE collection that definitely got my hands down because of its colour. But was the quality of it as amazing as the shade?

Nemeluosiu pasakiusi, kad pirma reakcija pamačius būtent šios spalvos lūpdažį buvo “Oho. Nu kažin kaip čia bus”. Tiesa paskui būtent dėl spalvos nuomonę aš labai pakeičiau, kadangi paties lūpdažio spalva pakuotėje atrodo kur kas intensyvesnė, nei yra užtepus ant lūpų. Tačiau sluoksniuojant spalvą galima išgauti labai intensyvią.. Natūralu, jog pirmasis įspūdis visuomet sudaromas iš to, kas matosi geriausiai. Puikiai parinktas pakuotės dizainas, itin artimas tiek lūpdažio spalvai, tiek apskritai kolekcijai ir reklaminei jos kampanijai. Viskas alsuoja burgundiškais karališkų augalų tonais ir neleidžia pamiršti, kad už lango – ruduo, padabintas moteriška elegancija. Lūpdažio pakuotė – violetinio atspalvio, pakankamai tvirto plastiko su šiokiais tokiais matomais žėručiais bei auksiniu kompanijos logotipu. Atrodo gana prabangiai ir labai moteriškai. Jaunatviškumo, deja, šioje pakuotėje rasti aš nesugebėjau :)

I won’t be lying if I would say that my first initial reaction to the shade of the lipstick when I saw it was like “What the heck? I dunno how I’m going to use this one..”. But at the end of all this testing out the shade of the product was that thing that got me going and giving the green light to the product as it looks more intense and bold in the packaging than on the lips. However you can make it really intense by layering the product on your lips. I believe that it is very natural to have the first opinion about the product based on how it looks, so I should say that the design of the packaging really suits the shade of the lipstick and also goes very well with the whole “Velvet Garden” collection and its’ ad campaign. Everything kind of breathes that burgundy elegance, gorgeous flowers and doesn’t let to forget that it is autumn outside at its’ best. The packaging is made of good quality purple plastic with a lovely sheen and golden logo of the company. It looks really luxurious and feminine, however this one doesn’t scream youthful and fun to me at all :)

Itin didelis pliusas – lūpdažio tekstūra labai lengva, kreminė, maloni lūpoms. Priemonė nesausina, nedžiovina lūpų odos, tepasi itin maloniai. Lūpdažį bandžiau naudoti be pieštuko, todėl galiu patarti būtent šį produktą dėl jo spalvos naudoti su pieštuku. Tai padės spalvai išsilaikyti ilgiau, duoti lūpoms tvarkingesnį, lygesnį apvadą taip palengvinant jų dengimą lūpų dažais bei suteikti lygesnę ir sodresnę spalvą. Tiesa, šis lūpdažis tikrai paryškiną išsausėjusias lūpų vietas, todėl svarbu prieš naudojant šią Pupa priemonę, lūpas paruošti tinkamai – jas nušveisti, padrėkinti, o tik tada dažytis.

One of the best things about this Burgundy Poppy lippie – its’ texture, which is really light, creamy, nice on the lips. It doesn’t dry out the lips and glides on really well. I’ve tried to use it without a lip pencil so I could definitely suggest you using it with one – it will help lipstick to stay longer on the lips, also will give neater base for the color and will make the shade pop out more. This lipstick, however, is pretty whimsical – it accentuates the dry patches of the lips, so you have to make sure to prepare them before using this product.

Lūpų dažų laikymasi šį kartą išbandžiau gana drastiškai. Vos pasidažiusi nusprendžiau pasimėgauti ne tik gardžia kava, bet ir desertu. Mano džiaugsmui ir nuostabai lūpdažis šį eksperimentą atlaikė gana neblogai, apsitrynė tik vietomis, tačiau tamsų burgundiško atspalvio pigmentą ir ne vien lūpų dažų kontūrus tikrai aiškiai buvo galima matyti savo vietose. Tiesa, praėjus kelioms valandoms po šio eksperimento man jau norėjosi atnaujinti lūpų spalvą. Tai nusprendžiau padaryti nenusivaliusi lūpų dažų likučio, o tiesiog užtepusi spalvos ant viršaus. Būtent šios linijos lūpdažiui toks sprendimas nebuvo labai geras. Papildomas lūpų dažų sluoksnis nusitrynė gana greitai ir jau po valandos spalva ant lūpų pasidarė gana netolygi ir ne reprezentatyvi.

I went a bit further when testing out this lipstick and decided to treat myself with a nice cuppa coffee and a desert after I’ve put the bold shade on my lips. To my joy the dark burgundy pigment and the shade itself stayed on the lips after the experiment and it only went off in few places but I could still let myself stay with it on the lips without additional touch up. However, about two hours later I really wanted to do my first touch up and I decided not to remove the remaining of the product, but put the second layer of the product on top. And this was not the good decision – the additional layer went off pretty quick and the shade became inconsistent and I really wasn’t happy walking around with what I had on my lips then..

Galutinėms išvadoms turiu pripažinti, kad Burgundy Poppy papirko mane savo spalva ir pojūčių ant lūpų, taip pat galimybe atsilaikyti prieš maistą ir gėrimą. Tačiau kartu norėtųsi, jog patys dažai nebūtų tokie įnoringi ir neišryškintų įvairių pasausėjimų ar nelygumų. Nors turiu pastebėti ir tai, kad būtent Burgundy Poppy kol kas vienas rimčiausių kandidatų papuošti mano šventinį derinį ir lūpas artėjančiam įmonės Kalėdiniam vakarėliui. Nes kodėl gi ne? Maža juoda suknelė ir iššaukiančiai patrauklios burgundiškos spalvos lūpos :)

My conclusion about this 312 Burgundy Poppy is pretty clear, I think. I really love the shade of it and the feeling on the lips when using it, I am also pretty happy how it stays on the lips after the food and drinks. However, I would be even happier if the lipstick wouldn’t be as whimsical as it is and wouldn’t accentuate the dry patches or imperfections of the lips. But so far so good – 312 Burgundy Poppy is one of the candidates to cover my lips on the coming Christmas parties. Because why not? Little black dress and bold burgundy lips seem to go very well together, right? :)
