Daniel Wellington Classy St Mawes (34mm) watch

Aš gyvenime kartais vadovaujuosi principu, jog svarbu ne spėti įšokti į kartu su mada belekiantį traukinį, bet išanalizuoti, ar verta jo vytis ir tik tada keliauti į artimiausią stotelę, kurioje jis stoja arba tiesiog leisti jam važiuoti be manęs.. Turbūt taip nutiko (ir vėl..) su šiuo aksesuaru, kurį šiandien noriu aprašyti čia. Galiu sakyti, kad pagaliau mano gyvenime atėjo tokia diena, kuomet šokau kartu su visais į tą pamišimo ir pomėgio traukinį, kuris gabena žmones, besidžiaugiančius ne kuo kitu, o būtent Daniel Wellington laikrodžiais, tačiau ji nebuvo impulsyvi - ji buvo išlaukta, išnorėta ir dalinai šiek tiek paveikta aplinkos spaudimo. Kodėl? Papasakosiu :)

I sometimes follow my own guts when it goes to that train which is going fast with a fashion. It is worth researching and analyzing it before just impulsively deciding to jump on it and ride. And sometimes after that analysis I would make a final call - whether to go on board at the nearest stop or to let it go without me.. I think yet again this has happened to me with another accessory which I want to shortly review today. I can say now that finally THE day has arrived when I jumped onto that fashion - leading train full of people enjoying their amazing Daniel Wellington watches and accessories. However this wasn't very impulsive - it was more like really badly wanted, patiently waited for (and if you know me well enough - you will know that I have no patience) and in some way a bit pushed by the surrounding. Why? I will tell you all about it :)

Absoliučiai minimalistinė, dviejų neįkyrių ir gana neutralių (baltos/smėlio ir rudos) spalvų dėžutė su įspaustu logotipu. Nereikia nei papildomų spalvų, nei kitų ditirambų - kaip sakoma, svarbiausia yra tai, kas yra viduje. Dėžutės viduje dar įdėta naudojimo instrukcija su visa reikiama informacija, mažas standartinis atstuktuvas apyrankei atsukti ir, be abejo, pats laikrodis, kuris ir yra pagrindinis skirtumas tarp visų pirkėjų gaunamų dėžučių :)

I have to pin-point that the minimalism of DW starts with their packaging. Absolutely minimalistic, two-toned (quite neutral colours - white/sand and brown) box with imprinted logo of the brand. No additional bits and bobs (which aren't necessary in this case) - it is inside what counts, as you know :) You will also find the manual with all required information, screw-drive for changing the strap and, what's most important, the watch itself, which will vary on the order :)

Kalėdos mane palepino nuostabiu Classy St. Mawes 34mm modelio laikrodžiu. Plonas, elegantiškas, minimalistinis, rožinio aukso apvado spalvos, papuoštas Swarovski kristalais vietoje skaičių. Toks, rodos, tradicinis dėl savo modelio ir klasikinio minimalizmo, tačiau kartu ypatingas dėl neįprastų sprendimų dizaine. Puikiai suderinta rudos odos apyrankė laikrodį leidžia pritaikyti bet kokiai progai, bet kokiai aprangai. Christmas spoiled me with an amazing model of DW watch - Classy St. Mawes 34mm. The slim dial, flawless brown leather band, elegant design and exclusive Swarovski crystals makes it a timepiece that oozes classy femininity. Looking so classic yet so elegant and quite unexpected in design. My watch is coming with the slightly larger watchcase of 34mm and it creates a beautiful harmony between case and the Swarovski crystal index. The size of it is simply perfect in my opinion as it serves both - small and big watch - lovers. Although there is an option to go for a smaller size of same model - 26mm, which might be best for the ones who prefer small watches. 

Nors kompanija garsėja savo naudojama NATO apyranke, mane, vis tik, šiuo metu labiau žavi odinės apyrankės. Ypatingai perėjus nuo metalinės apyrankės laikrodžio :) Šis Classy St Mawes absoliučiai atitinka visus mano mėgstamus dalykus: rožinio aukso apvadas, šiek tiek saikingai ir protingai įkomponuotų blizgučių (o mano atveju verta paminėti ir tai, kad tiek apvadas, tiek naudotų Swarovski kristalų dydis ir forma idealiai tinka prie mano vestuvinio žiedo, o kadangi šiuos abu aksesuarus nešioju ant vienos rankos - toks suderinamumas man tikrai labai patiko :) ), ruda odinė apyrankė ir puikus dydis. Be abejo, privalau paminėti ir patogumą dėl laikrodžio plonumo bei lengvumo. Nešiojimo pradžioje net kelias dienas vis pasitikrindavau, ar laikrodis vis dar ant mano riešo! Skirtumas perėjus nuo metalinio prie šio laikrodžio buvo akivaizdus. Tačiau šiokį tokį minusą aš jau pastebėjau ir jis mane šiek tiek neramina. Ne, tai ne vietoje skaičių valandoms nurodyti naudojami akmenukai. Tai apyrankės nusidėvėjimas. Mane gąsdina tai, kad dėl odos minkštumo apyrankė dėvisi gana greitai ir jau yra apsibraižiusi. Dalinai laikrodžiui tai prideda šarmo, tačiau iš mano, kaip kokybės besitikinčio vartotojo pusės norėtųsi, jog kai kurios apyrankės būtų tiesiog ilgiau grojančios. Tačiau nepaisant šio fakto ir žinant, kokia yra apyrankių įvairovė ir pasiūla, vertinu šį laikrodį kaip itin puikų! Dabar belieka tikėtis, kad jis veiks ilgai ir laimingai, kaip ir prieš tai turėtas ir mylėtas laikrodis :)

Even though the company is very well (and mostly) known for their NATO band, personally I prefer the leather straps. Especially when changing the watch from the fully metal one :) This Classy St Mawes watch covers all of the bits that I love at the moment: rose gold case, a smart touch of sparkle (and worth mentioning that in my case these two go ideally with my wedding band which is also rose gold and has a diamond of similar or maybe even exact shape and size, I am wearing these two accessories on the same hand and I am LOVING how matched they are together :) ), brown leather strap and perfect size. And, of course, that comfort of the thin and light watch. When I started wearing it after changing from the metal watch, for the first few days I kept on checking whether I am still wearing a watch as it is so light! However, there is one downside to all of this raving. I am a bit disappointed of the band itself. I am only wearing the watch for pretty short period of time, however the band seems already quite worn because of the soft leather. Well don't get me wrong now - in a way this "effect" gives some kind of a distinctive feature to the watch itself, but me, as a customer who expects a quality from a thing like that, I would love the strap to be more long lasting :) Other than that and also knowing the amount of different types and designs of straps available in the market from DW itself, I would definitely value this watch as a great stuff! And now all there is left - expect that it will last me long enough. Or at least as long as the last watch that I had :)
