Kate Spade stationery

Kiekvienas iš mūsų turime silpnybių. Mažesnių ar didesnių, bet turime kiekvienas ir kiekvienas savaip jas kontroliuojame. Štai mano silpnybės neprasideda ir nesibaigia vien ties makiažu ir grožio priemonėmis.. Aš turiu silpnybių turbūt daugiau, nei stiprybių ir man kartais būna taip sunku joms atsispirti, jas suvaldyti! Viena mano paskutinio meto silpnybių - kanceliarija. O, vaikyti, kiek įvairiausių kalendorių, darbo knygų, planuočių, tušinukų, pieštukų, žymeklių ir visokio kitokio grožio turiu ir kiek dar noriu.. Man taip sunku apsiriboti tik vienu sąsiuviniu, viena planuote, vienu tušinuku ir vienu pieštuku, kai šitiek daug grožybių jau sugalvota ir vis dar kiek naujovių ir grožybių sukuriama! Čia kaip silpnybė lūpdažiams ar batams - nors ir panašūs, bet visi skirtingi, visi tokie itin pritaikomi ir visi labai labai reikalingi. Nors teisybė tokia, kad aš tiesiog negaliu atsispirti gražiai kanceliarijai. Šiandien būtent apie tai ir noriu papasakoti Jums, nes tikiu, kad, o vaikyti, su kaupu rasiu savo bendraminčių šiai silpnybei! :)

Each one of us have some weaknesses. Smaller or bigger, but all of us have them and each of us control them in our own ways. My weaknesses don't start and end with an endless love for make up and beauty products. I even think sometimes that I have more weaknesses than strengths. One of them to me is stationery. Oh, gosh, the amount of amazing calendars, agendas, notebooks, pens, pencils, highlighters and so on! I have plenty of them already but I just want more and more and more... I can't just stop and limit myself with one notebook, one planner, one pen and one pencil when there are so many pretty things around. It is something similar to the weakness for the lipsticks or shoes, that I have - they might look same but they are NEVER the same unless you get two of same :) And oh yes, I know that I just can't stop myself from getting new stationery and I want to share a few bits of the gorgeous things I got recently. And I also truly believe that there will be a good amount of you who also have same weakness and can feel my "pain" here on this one :)

Šį įrašą norėčiau pradėti nuo fakto, jog Kate Spade gaminiais susižavėjau jau prieš kurį laiką. Mane pirmiausia patraukė kompanijos kuriamos rankinės ir piniginės. Vėliau atkreipiau dėmesį ir į jų kuriamą kanceliariją, tačiau verta pripažinti, kad kainos už siūlomus daiktus yra tikrai ne mažos.. Tačiau Kalėdos ir visa kita - palepinusi draugę Kate Spade dovanomis norėjau ir sau nusipirkti kažką tokio labai gražaus, labai naudojamo ir labai ne kasdieniško. Todėl akys pakrypo į naują 2017-ųjų metų planuotę būtent iš Kate Spade kolekcijos. O dar žinant mano pomėgį auksinės folijos detalėms (užrašams, taškeliams ir t.t.) sprendimas pirkti būtent Gold Dot serijos planuotę buvo absoliučiai nuspėjamas :) Taigi, kas slepiasi po šiuo žaismingu kieto kartono auksinės folijos taškeliais dekoruotu viršeliu?

I would like to start this post with a fact, that I have fell in total love with Kate Spade production a good while ago. I have first noticed and got attracted by their handbags and wallets. I also saw all of them dresses, sweaters and accessories, of course, bet handbags and wallets took my heart straight away. And later on I've discovered the unlimited amount of their stationery. However, we have to admit that the prices for the stuff aren't friendliest.. But it was Christmas, one thing led to another, I've treated my friend with a few bits from Kate Spade and decided to get something unusual, handy, something really pretty and something, that I could call a treat to myself. So my eyeballs were dropped on the new 2017 agenda from Kate Spade range. And obviously no wonder why I went for this specific design - you might already all know my love for "all things gold (or rose gold) and wild" (various slogans, dots and so on). I simply couldn't opt for any other agenda rather than this one. So what is underneath a pretty cover made from a hard carton and designed with a gold foil dots?

Pirmieji planuotės puslapiai talpina informaciją apie knygos savininką (jei ji, neduok Die, pasimestų ar būtų pamesta), taip pat yra lapas su vokeliu, kurį aš jau naudoju ir labai juo džiaugiuosi - įtemptoje kasdienybėje itin lengva pamesti labai reikiamus dokumentus ar čekius, o kadangi planuotę su savimi nešiojuosi kasdien, svarbius lapus susimetu į kišenėles ir žinau, kad jie visada bus ranka pasiekiami. Taip pat pateikti dviejų metų kalendoriai (einamųjų ir sekančių) bei lapai surašyti metų šventėms (pvz. gimtadieniams ar kitoms šventėms). Toliau seka keli lapai užrašams, neturintys jokios kitos konkrečios paskirties.

First pages of the agenda lets you provide the information about the owner of it (in case it would get lost - no one wants to loose their stuff without the trace), there is also a pocket-page that allows you to put in documents, receipts, etc. in it. I find it really handy because I always carry my agenda with me but I might forget to bring some important documents and with this thing I just pop in the page into the pocket of the agenda and I know it will be there when I need it! The agenda also has a preview of two yearly calendars - current and the following year. Next pages are for the celebrations of the year - birthdays, holidays, etc. Life basically, as everyone loves to celebrate the life :) And then you can find a good few pages for Notes - nothing specific, just notes..

Pati planuotė prasideda ne kaip įprasta nuo naujųjų metų sausio, tačiau nuo prieš tai buvusių metų rugpjūčio mėnesio. Asmeniškai man šis pasirinkimas pasirodė kiek neįprastas, kadangi planuotė baigiasi einamųjų metų gruodį. Taigi iš esmės nusipirkus naują planuotę naujiems metams, trečdalis jos tampa kaip ir nebereikalinga, bet užima ir vietą, ir svorį, ir kelia daikto kainą. O jau rugpjūtį pirkti naujos planuotės taip pat nelabai norisi, kadangi dar lieka pusė tuščios einamosios.. Žodžiu šis sprendimas man pasirodė šioks toks nesusipratimas, nors žinau, kad tokiu principu planuotes gamina ne tik Kate Spade. Kiekvienas mėnuo planuotėje prasideda lapu su mėnesio pavadinimu ir metų skaičiu, su mėnesio paskirtimi - keliais žaismingais sakiniais apie tai, kam skirtas vienas ar kitas mėnuo :) Smagu, vienok, paskaityti ir dalinai tokį susikurtį einamą mėnesį. Toliau planuotėje seka dviejų lapų kalendorius su tuščiais langeliais, į kuriuos galima trumpai susirašyti planus, o jau vėliau pagal dienas tuos planus aprašyti išsamiau tam skirtose platesnėse erdvėse sekančiuose puslapiuose.

The agenda starts quite unusually - with the August of the previous year and not with the January of the new year. Personally I don't really understand and like this decision as the agenda finished with the December of the year. So once you get a new agenda, you are basically losing 5 months of it, but keep carrying the weight around and spending more money for it and you wouldn't want to go ahead and get a new agenda in August because why would you? Like you still have 5 months left to fully fill it in! Dunno man dunno.. Anyways this is their decision and I have to go with it. I know few other manufacturers who are doing exactly the same thing but I believe that none of them know why :D Each month starts with the name of the month, the year and with some words what the month is about. Well this bit looks so nice to me as you can always somehow attach yourself to it and make things happen, y'know :) Further 2 pages contains the monthly calendar with blank blocks where you can shortly describe your Things-to-do on the specific day and then even further you get multiple amount of pages for the week where you go wild and mad and write it all down. Plans, thoughts and stuff.

Planuotė baigiasi tiesiog paskutiniu einamųjų metų gruodžio mėnesio puslapiu ir viskas. Jokių papildomų sentencijų, jokių verkšlenimų apie metų pabaigą. Metai baigėsi, baigėsi ir lapai :)

Kompanija siūlo kelių skirtingų dizainų ir dviejų dydžių planuotes - vidutinio (medium) ir didelio (large) dydžio planuotes, kurios visos atrodo vienodai, tik skiriasi dydžiais. Taip pat itin patogu tai, jog planuotė yra ne tik su kietu viršeliu, bet ir su spirale - patikėkit, skirtumą tarp planuotės be spiralės ir su spirale aš tikrai patikrinau, pastaroji man patinka kur kas labiau! Mane taip pat žavi tai, jog visi lapai nėra vienos spalvos. Mėnesio pradžios lapai yra švelniai rausvi, o lapai užrašams - smėlio spalvos. Tiesa patys lapai man pasirodė kiek plonoki - rašant tušinuku raidės nepersišviečia, tačiau rašant kiek intensyvesniu markeriu (na, proto ribose, aišku) raidės šiek tiek persišviečia. 

Mano planuotės dydis yra large ir turiu pripažinti, kad labai labai džiaugiuosi tokiu pasirinkimu! Mano raštas nėra iš siauriausių ar mažiausių, todėl kažin, ar viską, ką noriu užsirašyti, sugebėčiau sutalpinti į mažesnius langelius. Tačiau jeigu galite pasidžiaugti ir pasigirti kompaktišku raštu bei nenorite savo kuprinėje ar rankinėje tampytis didesnio svorio - siūlau dėmesį atkreipti į vidutinio dydžio planuotes :) Bet kuriuo atveju atkreipti dėmesį į Kate Spade planuotes tikrai labai siūlau, nes kol kas jos man pasirodė patogesnės už prieš tai turėtas (o turėjau ne vieną..).

Agenda finished with the last day of the year. And that's that. No additional ramblings, no tears, no poems to the year. It came to an end just like the year.

Kate Spade comes with few different designs for their agendas and two sizes of them - medium and large. They look same just differs in size. It also comes with a concealed spiral cover which makes things so much easier when using it :) And believe in me - I've used agendas without a spiral cover and I can't stop myself from falling in love with whoever decided to put a spire in the stuff like this! There is another thing that I'm not a fan of - pages seem to be on the thin side. I mean if you are using ballpoint pen to write, it's all fun and giggles, but if you decide to go a bit wild and hardcore using something like a marker (not like a mental fat one, but you know yourself - those nice slim ones), you can see the writing on the other page. But the pages themselves - oh, I love it! Combination of the soft pink and sand colored pages seems to be perfection to me! 

My agenda comes in large size and I am very happy with it. My handwriting isn't tiny or delicate, I kind of go wild with it, so I'm delighted to have enough of space to write it all down. But if you have a nice small tidy handwriting and you don't want to carry the whole registered luggage in your bag, I would suggest you to look at their medium sized agendas. Whatever the weather - have a look at their range, you will definitely find something nice for you :)

Juokas juokais, tačiau dalis pažįstamų mane galėtų pavadinti pieštukų ir tušinukų žmogumi. Rankinėje dažniausiai visada turiu tušinuką arba pieštuką (arba abu, tik ne visuomet juos panaudoju), tačiau apskritai labiau mėgstu rašyti pieštuku. Juo rašant klaidas ištaisyti lengviau, viską perrašyti taip pat lengviau ir apskritai pats rašymo pieštuku procesas man kažkoks jaukesnis ir minkštesnis. Nežinau, galbūt čia tik mano keista sąvybė, bet aš labiau mėgstu rašyti pieštuku, o ne tušinuku ar rašikliu. Būtent todėl įsigijusi Kate Spade planuotę nusprendžiau įsigyti ir Kate Spade pieštukų rinkinį. Juk į tokį gražų sąsiuvinį rašyti kokiu paprastu pieštuku nedera? :) Ach, ką aš čia - juk jau rašiau apie savo silpnybę kanceliarijai, todėl toks sprendimas irgi, manau, nėra didelė staigmena.

It's all jokes and giggles, but some of the people who know me well enough might definitely call me a person of pens and pencils. Almost all the time I would have a pen or a pencil (or maybe even both) in my bag. But I would prefer using the pencil rather than pen. I simply find it easier to correct any mistakes or re-write the stuff when using the pencil and overall process of using it just seems softer and nicer to me. It might be only some kind of a weird personal preference, but this is who I am. So after I bought Kate Spade agenda, I decided to give it a go and get a nice set of Kate Spade pencils with it because why not? Having a nice agenda would require, in some way, using a nice tools to write in it :) Oh well sure look - I have already told you about my weakness for nice stationery, so there you go - simple answer why I got this.

Šie pieštukai mane sužavėjo savo minimalistiniu dizainu - smėlio spalvos gana klasikinio dizaino pieštukai su pridėtu trintuku. Dėžutėje jų yra dešimt ir visi ateina padrožti. Išskirtinė šių pieštukų detalė yra tikrai ne Kate Spade New York logotipas, o smagūs žodžiai ant kiekvieno iš pieštukų :) Žavi smulkmena, kiekvieną pieštuką paverčianti išskirtiniu ir tiesiog smagesniu naudoti. Patys pieštukai man pasirodė pakankamai paprasti - manyčiau, kad vidutinio minkštumo, trintukai, kaip ir dažniausiai būna tokio tipo trintukams, nieko verti. Tiesa, jie šiek tiek plonesni už įprastus pieštukus, todėl asmeniškai man rankose laikyti šiuos yra maloniau ir patogiau :) O daugiau.. Na ko gi gali tikėtis iš pieštuko? 

I liked this set because of how minimalistic and nice it looks - sand color pencils with the rubber gum. 10 of these come in a box and all come pre-sharpened. The exceptional detail about these ones - there is an idiom on each pencil which will surely inspire you. The pencils themselves are really nice, I would say medium soft, however the rubber gum - oh snap.. Worthless, absolutely. The design of them seems to be slimmer than normal so it is very nice to hold the pencil in hand. And what else? Well what else would you expect of a pencil? :) 

Kate Spade Highlighters Set

Pradėjusi studijuoti prancūzų kalbą ir visokiausiom spalvom užrašuose žymėtis mažiau ar daugiau svarbius dalykus (taisykles, žodžius ir t.t.) supratau, kad norėčiau įsigyti ir naujus žymeklius. Tie įprasti dideli žymekliai manęs niekad nežavėjo dėl savo dydžio, todėl pamačiusi šį Kate Spade žymeklių rinkinį už itin patrauklią kainą nusprendžiau kartu su pieštukais į krepšelį įsimesti ir jį. Ir labai tuo džiaugiuosi!

After starting my French studies and marking all different stuff by the type and importance in different colors, I've realized that I would also love to get a set of few nice highlighters. I was never a fan of these huge massive standard office highlighters, so once I found this Kate Spade highlighters set for the really really good price, I was like "Yep, this one is gonna come to my house now!" and I got them together with the pencils. And oh my, oh my, I am so happy with it!

Rinkinyje atkeliauja keturių skirtingų spalvų žymekliai, kurie vienoje pusėje yra kirstos ir stambesnės formos, o kitoje - smailesnės ir smulkesnės. Taip pat, kaip ir pieštukai, kiekvienas žymeklis turi skirtingus žodžius, todėl naudoti juos ne tik patogu dėl spalvų ir formos, bet ir smagu dėl parašyto teksto. Žymeklių spalvos labai intensyvios ir puikiai atitinka tai, kas matoma pakuotėje. Naudoti patogu, taigi ko dar gali reikėti iš tokio tipo priemonės?

The set comes with four double sided highlighters in different colors. Same as pencils, they are topped with a phrase that adds personality to any piece. As they are double sided, one side is fine and the other is medium tipped and it makes highlighting so easy and fun! The colors are bright and it speaks itself inside and out. So what else is there to ask for? 

Taigi, naujus metus aš pasitikau apsupta naujo kanceliarijos rinkinio, kuris dabar mane lydi ir džiugina kasdien :) Aš manau, jog didelius dalykus mes kiekvienas susikuriame iš įvairių mažų smulkmenų, taigi tokie daiktai, kurie vieniems gali pasirodyti absoliučiai nereikalingi ar nenaudingi, kitiems gali būti tarsi pradžia į kažką didelio ir labai džiugaus! Būtent tokie man buvo šie Kate Spade pirkiniai - juk planuoti didesnius ar mažesnius gyvenimo įvykius visuomet smagiau naudojant gražius pagalbininkus :)

So my 2017 started with a new stationery set which makes me happy on a daily basis :) I truly think that big things are always made from a small ones, so stuff like this might look absolutely useless to some, but to me it means a lot. It's like a start to something big and important. And this is exactly what this set helps me at - small pieces brought together makes a big difference and big things :) And lets admit now - it is always nice to use nice stuff, right? :)
