Žinote tokį posakį "Tu planuoji, o kažkas ten viršuj juokiasi?". Tai mane štai jau kurį laiką vis apima tas jausmas, kad aš planuoju, planuoju, dėliojuosi viską, tačiau kažkas iš viršaus paima ir pasijuokia iš manęs ir mano planų.. Paskutiniu metu tas kažkas - saulė kartu su debesimis, kurie vis pasijuokia ir neleidžia man įgyvendintį idėjų kadrams.. Būtent todėl vieni dalykai turi būti nustumiami kiek vėlesniam laikui, o iš užančio ištraukiam seniau įgyvendintas idėjas ir bėgam pasakoti visiems :)
Ne kitokia yra ir ši paletė, apie kurią noriu šiandien papasakoti. Kai vis planuoji, kad nusipirksi vieną ar kitą priemonę, tačiau visi planai išsisklaido lyg rūkas ir į namus atkeliauja paletė, kuri talpina viską vienoje vietoje. Ir pagaliau savo nuomonę apie šią paletę dalinuosi su Jumis!
There is a saying that you can plan as much as you want - sometimes somebody from above will have a proper laugh at your plans and make things its way.. So this is what keeps happening to me recently. It feels like I'm planning, putting the stuff together, making ideas and trying to bring it to life, but something just keeps interrupting it and having a proper laugh.. And these days it is sun and clounds that don't let me bring my plans to life and having a great time while seeing me struggling :) This is the reason why I can't speak about some products that I want to share with you so badly, BUT it also makes me browse through my old full-filled ideas and tell you about some products that I have been preparing to tell you about for a while now :)
This palette is nothing different from the planning issue. I was thinking for a while about getting products from this company but on their own, however one thing led to another, I saw great offer for the palette as it went on sale and I just decided to go ahead with it. And today I am going to share my opinion about this large beauty :)
Smashbox "#ShapeMatters" palette, ~€70
Savo pasakojimą pirmiausia norėčiau pradėti nuo to, jog makiažo paletes aš tikrai mėgstu. Tai daiktas, kuris būna itin patogus kelionėms ar apskritai tuomet, kai išbandyti vieno gamintojo produkcijos norisi nemažai, tačiau nesinori pirkti visų jų atskirai. O ir šiaip paletėse spalvos dažniausiai būna puikiai suderintos, todėl pakanka nusipirkti vieną priemonę, kurios paskirtis - itin daugiafunkcinė, ir nesukti galvos :)
I would like to start this review from mentioning the fact, that I really like make up palettes. It is always so handy for travelling or even when you want to try multiple products from same brand but don't want to stuff your house with multiple boxes and packagings. And also great palettes come not only with great products in them, but with the great colour selection, so you simply buying one - getting a lot! :)
Smashbox #ShapeMatters paletė mane sužavėjo ne kuo kitu, o būtent savo daugiafunkcine paskyra. Šioje paletėje sutalpintos net kelių skirtingų rūšių priemonės: šešėliai ir vaškas antakiams, šešėliai akims, trys kontūravimo pudros, highlighter'is, dvipusis šepetėlis bei trys interaktyvios kortelės su makiažo pamokomis. Visos paletėje sudėtos spalvos puikiai dera tarpusavyje ir yra parinktos taip, kad tiktų šviesesnio - vidutinio gymio odai. Be jokios abejonės ją įsigyti paskatino ir tai, jog Smashbox kompanijos bandytais produktais kol kas nusivilti neteko. Itin apsidžiaugiau pamačiusi, kad vietinėje superdrug tipo parduotuvėje šiai paletei buvo paskelbta didelė akcija, todėl čiupau ją ilgai negalvojusi! O vos gavusi į rankas aikčiojau kaip Kalėdų senio nudžiugintas vaikas. Taigi, ką galvoju apie paletę dabar, kai į ją žiūrėti tenka ne tik per ekraną?
Smashbox #ShapeMatters palette took my attention due to its' multifunctional purpose. It contains few different type of products: for eyebrows (two shadows and a wax), eye shadows, three face contour shades, highlighter, double end brush and three interactive make up lessons cards. All shades in the palette goes really well together and would perfectly suit for light - medium skin tone colour. And, of course, I was tempted to get this palette because I've already tried couple of Smashbox products in the past and I was really pleased with them. Oh, and sure - when I saw the special offer for it (I think it was less than half price) in Boots I was like "Come to mama, little beauty!". So yep, this is exactly why and how this goodie ended up in my make up bag. And yeah, also because I am a beauty stuff addict and I just have to try these things out :)
Turiu pripažinti, kad iki šiol (paletę turiu jau pakankamai ilgai) joje nepanaudojau kelių priemonių: Bronze spalvos kontūravimo priemonės, dvipusio pridėti šepetėlio (apskritai labai retai kada naudoju paletėse ar pan. pridėtus šepetėlius, nes dažniausiai jie man atrodo nieko verti) ir interaktyvių makiažo pamokų. Paaiškinimo, kodėl nebandžiau pastarojo, apskritai neturiu, na o bronzanto atspalvis bent jau šaltu sezono metu pasirodė tiesiog ne mano skonio (jis turi šilto rusvo atspalvio, o šaltuoju metu laiku, jeigu nevykstu atostogauti į saulėtus kraštus, aš esu praktiškai aristokratiškai balta, taigi išbandyti tokio atspalvio priemonės noras nelabai ir kyla). Tačiau visos kitos paletėje sudėtos priemonės ir jų spalvos mane tikrai sužavėjo.
Even though I have this palette for a quite while now, I still haven't tried three things out of it: contour powder in shade Bronze, added brush (actually I barely use any added brushes that come with the products cause I never like them) and interactive make up lessons. There is no explanation of why I haven't tried the last one, but I can definitely say why I haven't tried contour powder in Bronze shade. I'm the proud owner of quite pale skin, especially in cold season or when I'm not back after sunny holidays. So this gorgeous caramel-looking shade wouldn't really make my current skin shade very attractive, so I'm keeping the product for the summer and then I might go wild with it :) But all of the other products - oh boy, I really like them!
Norėčiau pradėti nuo antakiams skirtos eilės. Vaškas, Taupe bei Soft Brown atspalvio šešėliai tinka tiek šaltesnį, tiek šiltesnį toną mėgstantiems. Vaškas pakankamai gerai fiksuoja plaukelius, o šešėliai nebyra, gerai sklaidosi, norint intensyvesnės spalvos puikiai sluoksniuojasi. Tiek atspalviai, tiek kiekiai man pasirodė tikrai pakankami tam, kad produkto užtektų ilgam.
Toliau seka veido kontūravimui skirti produktai. Man itin, itin patiko paletėje esanti kontūravimo spalva Contour. Šaltą pilką pustonį turinti ruda spalva neatrodo, kaip ant veido užteptas purvas, lengvai sklaidosi, ją itin lengva paimti su kontūravimo šepetėliu. Puikus produktas! Highlight šviesioji spalva, skirta norimų veido vietų pašviesinimui, man pasirodė tiesiog jokia. Turiu pripažinti, kad jos ant veido nelabai ir matosi, taigi jos kaip ir nenaudoju. Nepasirodė bloga, tačiau kažkokio didelio jos pliuso taip pat nepastebėjau :) Glow skaistinanti pudra man labai labai patiko - taip labai, kaip ir Contour. Tai itin pigmentuota skaistinamoji priemonė, kurią ant odos užtepus matosi vientisas švytintis sluoksnis, o ne pavieniai žėručiai. Itin graži šampano spalva be jokio bronzinio ar rausvo atspalvio puikiai tinka kasdieniam makiažui (naudojant saikingai, nes produktas itin minkštas ir lengvai paimamas), tiek vakariniam (naudojant intensyviau). Lengvai sklaidosi, neerzina odos, tiesiog puiki priemonė!
Firstly, palette starts with the eyebrow products. Wax and two shadows - Taupe and Soft Brown. It will suit both - cold and warm toned eyebrow owners, but wouldn't suit the ones who have really, I mean really dark brows. You gotta like brown brows to be happy with these :) Wax fixes the brows pretty well and shadows are nice to use - soft, pigmented, it's easy to blend them out and also easy to layer it for the darker colour, if needed.
Then we see face contouring section - three contouring products (Contour, Bronze and Highlight) and a Glow highlighter. I ADORE Contour powder as it has a cold grey undertone, it doesn't look muddy or dirty, it is very well blendable, pigmented, it is soft and easy to take with a brush. I don't really have an opinion about the Highlight powder - to me it just is. I haven't noticed any downside to it, but I don't really notice much of a use. Well it gives a bit of a light, but not as much as a concealer used under the foundation would give, so I'm not really using it much :) And then gorgeous real highlighting powder in shade Glow. Boy, oh boy, this is as awesome and amazing, as Contour shade! It is really pigmented and on the skin it comes as a solid sheen rather than as a product that contains separate sparkles. Using it wisely you can definitely make it work for the day time and going a bit bananas you can use it for a perfect night time make up. It is also very easy to blend, comes in this great champagne shade without any bronze or pink undertones. Perfection!
Toliau paletėje seka nuostabūs net devynių spalvų šešėliai akims. Vėlgi, kaip ir prieš tai buvusios priemonės, šie šešėliai labai lengvai paimami šepetėliais, itin lengvai sklaidosi, yra labai pigmentuoti. Smagu, kad parinktos ne vien neutralios, rusvos spalvos, tačiau puikiai suderinti tiek rudi, tiek rausvi, tiek pilki tonai. Žodžiu spalvos, su kuriomis drąsiai ir gana lengvai galima susikurti nuo dieninio iki vakarinio, nuo neutralaus, dalykinio ir pašėlusiai šventinio makiažo :)
Paletėje sukomponuotos šešios matinės spalvos (Vanilla, Totally Nude, Stripped, Sumatra, Aubergine bei Blackout) ir trys blizgios (Champagne, Posh, Platinum). Būtent tai šešėlius daro dar lengviau, dažniau ir plačiau panaudojamus.
And further down the palette there is as section for the eyes - nine gorgeous eye shadows. Very pigmented, very easy to blend, goes on the brush so easily. It is great to see not only one type of shades selected for the palette (i.e. only browns) - brown, pink and grey tones are composed together really well. You can definitely make it work from day time to night time make up, from natural or business looking make up to a wild night out look :)
This section contains six matte shades (Vanilla, Totally Nude, Stripped, Sumatra, Aubergine and Blackout) and three satiny shades (Champagne, Posh and Platinum). Different finish makes shadows even more suitable for the use of all purpose.
Taigi, nusipirkusi ir panaudojusi šią paletę aš dar kartą įsitikinau, kad man itin patinka ne tik tos paletės, kuriose priemonės sukomponuotos protingai, naudingai ir puikių atspalvių, bet ir apskritai Smashbox produkcija iki šiol manęs nenuvylė. Visi paletėje sutalpinti produktai mane nudžiugino savo pigmentacija, skalsumu, lengvu sklaidymusi ir pačiomis spalvomis bei jų suderinimu, todėl drąsiai sakau, kad tikrai kyla noras išbandyti vis daugiau ir daugiau šio gamintojo priemonių, o prie šios paletės rankos tiesiasi taip pat vis dažniau :)
So after I have purchased and used this palette, I basically just proved to myself once again that I not only like the palettes that were created in a smart and useful way using great products and selecting great shades, but I also really like Smashbox products as they haven't let me down so far. All of the stuff in the palette turned out to be really good and very pigmented, long lasting, easy blendable, shades appeared to be very wearable, so I am definitely recommending this one and I will definitely be Smashbox'ing more :)
